Michael Joined the group in 1978, and since then, has acted in 25 full-length plays, as well as directed another 15. He has acted in such diverse plays as “The Honeyspike”, “My Three Angels”, “Witness for the Prosecution”, “The Heretic”, “Confusions”, “Translations”, “The Cripple of Inishmaan”, “Sharons Grave” and “The Shadow of a Gunman”. He has directed plays by Brian McMahon, John B. Keane, Tom Murphy, Eugene McCabe, Mary O’Malley, Sean O’Casey, Brian Friel, and Marina Carr et al. Michael has also worked at set construction, and assisted with both lighting and sound design. He has served as Chairman and Secretary of the group on numerous occasions, and has co-ordinated and designed production programmes. Furthermore, he has directed award winning plays for Macra na Feirme and Siamsa, and ran workshops for youth groups.
Maura Reidy - 2000 to 2003
Maura has been involved with the group since 1989, and was President during a time of enormous change for the group. She has played in many different plays, and also works on costume design.
John Gibbons - 1997 to 2000
John is a founder member of the group. One of the most well known people in drama in Limerick, he has been involved in almost every production since the group started. He has also worked for other groups, including professional companies, and is well renowned for his abilities on the stage. John still considers himself to be the "real" President of the group, having performed the function so many times in the past!
Claude Byrne - 1994 to 1997
The late Claude Byrne was one of the early members of the group, and was involved in many plays, participating in lighting, sound design, direction and acting, for which he was best known.
