The majority of these productions were Limerick premières, while some were Irish stage premières, notably, 'The Heretic', 'Rashomon' and 'The Master'. Group member Joseph Hennessy wrote 'In Holy Matrimony', while 'A Time Under Heaven' was specially commissioned for the group by The Society of St. Vincent de Paul who engaged Teri Murray, and chose the medium of theatre to celebrate their 150 years in Limerick in 1996. Almost all productions were presented in the city, and over twenty were also presented at other venues in the Irish mid-west region. 'Translations', 'Goodbye to the Hill', and most recently 'The Beauty Queen of Leenane' were Irish amateur premières. |
